1. Call from Tunis

Dear friends,
We will meet in Tunis in less than four month, for the World Social Forum Tunis 2015 which will be held around two key words: Dignity and Rights. In order to make this event a success, the organizing Committee  opened 20 days ago a website for the people, organization (that include also the informal networks and groups), and activity proposals registration.

Please do not hesitate to go to the website to consult the activities already proposed ant to contribute to make this World Social Forum a success. To make another world possible, all in Tunis from March 24th to 28th of 2015!

What's Global Square? 
What do we want? 
How can we build international assemblies? 
How would these connect to concrete local struggles? reaching out new newtorks like  Gezi, Brazil, East European, Hong Kong,...

3. 10th of December 2014  TWITTER campaign (information by plaza de los pueblos Spain)


Activists in Spain are calling on citizens to take part in a demonstration on December the 10th in renewed protests against what they call a "gag law".
The   controversial Protection of Public Safety  act, proposed in 2013, is   now making its way through  Spain's parliament (going to be probably   approved on the 11th of December)
The   bill infringes on the right to protest and it gives more power to the   police force. It also includes the "legalization" of the practice of  "devolución en caliente" (immediate devolution of  migrants when caught   at the borders)

15M   groups, No Somos Delito - We are not crime (a platform with more than   70 groups and assemblies) and many other movements are encouraging   international activists to join the twitter campaign on the 10th of   December (there are more than 70 different groups in the platform) in   order to support their action in Madrid (the funeral of human rights)   and the struggle against the "gag law" 
What   we ask is to use the hashtag of the campaign also to visibilize   repression and criminalization of the movements all over the world. 
The hashtag has not to be used before the 10th of december at 11:00 am CET time

NOTES from the meeting

Do we want to organize something in the WSF? The deadline is mid january.

P. Germany  will be there and interested in organizing something. Suggest to do the same and promote the way we are running our collective activities 
The political atmosphere is very interesting and we can do somethin better 
Repeat and bring it to a better level 
We can register our astivity/space 

C. from Quebec we are working on the energy of the 2011 movements. there is resistence to this spirit. What we were and are doing is important because lots of people will be there. should we do something? definitely yes
serious work on reviewing what worked and didnt work and learn from our last expierience. 

O Netherlands, Turkey: question. I wished R. could have joined the meeting so we could talk about what kınd of space to create there thıs time.  Carminda do you have some concrete ideas in relation to your preperations for the WSF 2016 in Quebec?

C: there is a lot of people going from quebec and we are working on the space we are going to make up in Tunis in a costructive way. We will propose a space for all WSF in Tunis (open space on the future of WSF) 

M from Spain: Talked to her assembly, and even if not many people will be going to the WSF, they are interested in this. They would like to have a space like in 2013, but to have it in a more central space. We have time to think about this space to have a deeper impact that last time, how can we do it better. A space that is going to give visibility to our movements our practices. It would be important to register and call it a space. A space were we can have political assembies but also a lively place to gather. Question to C : is it possible to have to same space thant the people of Quebec? Also give visibility to our movements.

C. it will be amazing to share the same space. I could talk to people in quebec and see if other agree on this. Actually will be interesting to get in touch with more people to reach out more people of the last big movements like (hong kong) we could have subspaces... smaller activities 
different things happening at the same time 
the space next to the youth space 
they are struggling to get heard 
we could work together to make it interesting and colorful

O: it sound really interesting. people from Turkey, Hong Kong could be interesting to get connected wıth the peope from these countries and who mıght be interested in  coming to Tunis, exchange and think together about tunis and Quabec at this stage

M : on the 25th march there will be an interesting open assembly based in the mediterraneant open to other movements, it would be interesting to participate in this assembly and invite people to participate to our space. Last time there was a banner; but if you didn.t know about GS it was hard. The experience of the Assembly that we had last time at the last day in the streets could be repeated because it made a difference for the people in Tunis who were coming and expieriencing a different way of assembly together

J Netherlands : lots of questions. how is the relation with the youth in Tunis? it will be better in the field in the middle of the camp. It's a better possibility.  Camp and assembly there.

C. was in Hammamet. we have close connections. people in the youth commission is participating in the commettee. 

Proposal : to have a meeting  in early january with people involved in Global Square, the youth comission, and the collective WSF Quebec to discuss about a common space.

P: we could inscribe the space anyways. Besides, there was a young boy that was inviting us to participate; we should get in contact with him or with other people in the grassroots movements as they are more accessible. We could have an activity in the streets with them

M question to P : are you in contact with bloccupy and do you think that they would have interest in participate in the space?

P. most of them are from left parties and organization. As far as I know they won't come as blokupy. they also have the opening of the european bank on the 18th of march

J: time to think about the proposal to have a meeting early this year. How could we organize that?? 

C: it will be good to send the invitation by the 15th of december. The meeting could be on Saturday 13th

P: there will be an important demo in Berlin for peaceon the 13th of december Proposes 8 pm 

M. is asking for international help for the campain against ley mordaza and she will send information to the list (call is above) 

We will work on the call directly in the pad and see if there is any need for a meeting on the 13th of december (has to be ready by 15th December in order to be sent) 

May be better not to meet on the 13th of December and work in the pad ...... unless somebody is ready to join it. Next meeting proposal is for for the saturday 3rd of january or Sunday the 4th (to be decided in the pad)
