Tunis, March 18th, 2015.
After the terrorist attack today at the Bardo Museum, next to the National Assembly, the 2015 World Social Forum organizing committee declares that the Forum and all its activities are maintained.

Through this attack, terrorist groups attempted to undermine the democratic transition Tunisia and the region are currently experiencing while creating a climate of fear amongst citizens who aspire to freedom, democracy and pacific participation in establishing democracy.

The quick response from the social movement and all the political bodies in Tunisia opposed to terrorism, calling upon unity to fight it, proves how tunisians care about their recent democratic experience. The social movement in Tunisia and the region counts on the global support of democratic forces to oppose violence and terrorism.

More than ever, the massive participation to the WSF (Tunis 24th-28th March 2015) will be the appropriate answer from all the peace and democratic forces towards a better, more fair and free world made of pacific co-existence.

The WSF organizing comittee calls upon all WSF members and participants to intensify their efforts in mobilizing and making this moment a success, allowing the victory of civic and pacific fight against terrorism and fanatism that threaten democracy, freedom, and tolerance.

علي اثر  العملية الارهابية  الغادرة التي استهدفت  ظهر اليوم متحف باردو ، تؤكد اللجنة التحضرية للمنتدي الاجتماعي العالمي استمرار الاستعدادات لافتتاح المنتدي في موعده المحدد يوم 24 مارس الجاري و لمختلف فعالياته المبرمجة علي امتداد الأربعة أيام .
ان الجماعات الارهابية المتطرفة تريد من خلال مثل هذه العمليات ضرب تجربة الانتقال الديمقراطي في تونس و المنطقة عموما و تسعي الي خلق مناخ من الخوف في صفوف المواطنين المتطلعين الي الحرية و الديمقراطية و المشاركة السلمية في البناء الديمقراطي .
 ان الرد السريع  للحركة الاجتماعية و المدنية و الفاعلين السياسيين في تونس المناهض للإرهاب و الداعي  الي توحيد الصفوف لمواجهته و القضاء عليه يؤشر على تمسك التونسيين بتجربتهم الديمقراطية الناشئة  كما ان الحراك الاجتماعي و المدني في تونس و في المنطقة يحتاج أكثر من أي وقت مضي لدعم القوي الديمقراطية في العالم المناهضة للعنف و الارهاب  .
     لأجل ذلك ستكون المشاركة الواسعة المرتقبة في  المنتدي ردا قويا من كل قوي السلام و الديمقراطية المناضلة في صلب حركة العولمة البديلة من أجل عالم أفضل تسوده العدالة و الحرية و مقومات التعايش السلمي .
كما تدعو اللجنة التحضيرية كل الفعاليات الناشطة في المنتدي في كل العالم إلي تكثيف جهودها لمواصلة التعبئة لضمان نجاح الدورة القادمة حتى تكون انتصارا للمقاومة المدنية و السلمية علي الارهاب و التعصب الديني المهدد للديمقراطية و الحرية و مقومات التسامح و العيش المشترك .

Communiqué

Suite à la lâche attaque terroriste survenue aujourd’hui à midi (mercredi 18/03/2015) au musée du Bardo jouxtant le siège de l’assemblée des représentants du peuple, le comité d’organisation du FSM Tunis 2015 déclare que le Forum et l’ensemble de ses activités sont maintenus.
Par cette attaque, les groupes terroristes extrémistes visent à mettre à mal l’expérience de la transition démocratique en Tunisie et dans la région ainsi qu’à créer un climat de peur au sein des citoyens qui aspirent à la liberté, la démocratie et à la participation pacifique à la construction démocratique.
La rapide riposte du mouvement social, civil et des acteurs politiques en Tunisie opposés au terrorisme et appelant à l’unité pour le combattre prouve s’il en était besoin, l’attachement des tunisiens à leur nouvelle expérience démocratique.  Le mouvement social et civil en Tunisie et dans la région compte plus que jamais sur le soutien des forces démocratiques dans le monde entier pour s’opposer à la violence et au terrorisme.
Plus que jamais, la large participation au FSM 2015 (Tunis 24-28 mars 2015) sera la réponse appropriée de toutes les forces de paix et de démocratie qui militent au sein du mouvement altermondialiste pour un monde meilleur, de justice, de liberté et de coexistence pacifique.
Le comité d’organisation du FSM appelle toutes les composantes du forum social mondial à intensifier leurs efforts en vue de la mobilisation pour le succès de la prochaine session du FSM afin d’assurer la victoire de la lutte civile et pacifique contre le terrorisme et le fanatisme religieux qui menacent la démocratie, la liberté, la tolérance et le vivre ensemble.
