1) Bienvenidos en Belem!  
 
Belem, la capital del estado del Parà tiene una ubicaciòn privilegiada y estratégica en el norte extremo del Brasil y es considerada la entrada más importante a la parte norteña del país y a la Amazonìa. Es la ciudad más grande en la Amazonìa del Brasil con aproximadamente 1,5 millones de habitantes.

2) Infórmate!
 
El Foro Social Mundial es un espacio para la comunicación y el intercambio. Los miles de periodistas procedientes desde todo el mundo llegaron en Belem para seguir los dìas del Forum Social Mundial, trabajando a vídeo producciones, artículos y noticias sobre el otro mundo posible.  
 
Cinco proyectos de comunicación compartida trabajarán dentro del FACOM (la Facultad de Comunicación) en UFPA (la Universidad Federal del Parà): Foro de Radio, WSF TV  y Foro Video, Laboratorio de Conocimiento Libre, Ciranda y Belem Expanded. El equipo de la Comision Internacional de Prensa atenderà los periodistas y los empleados de prensa en la sala de comunicación, que se encuentra en el Gimnasio de la UFPA.

4) Registrate en Openfsm!

OpenFSM - www.openfsm.net - una herramienta proporcionada por la Comisión de Comunicación de FSM - es una red social construida con software libre para facilitar el trabajo en red y el desarrollo de actividades en línea paralelas al Forum.   

FSM está pensado como espacio abierto con un alto número de actividades auto-organizadas, de la misma manera la pagina de OpenFSM es un territorio virtual abierto, lleno de espacios autónomos (cada uno de los cuales permite construir paginas, crear mailing list, blog, espacios de publicacion colectivas). Hasta ahora 800 personas han creado 200 espacios en OpenFsm para el FSM 2009 para desarrollar sus actividades y visibilizar las redes existentes.

1) Welcome to Belem!
  
Belem, the capital of the state of Pará has a strategic location in the northern tip of Brazil and is considered the most important input to the northern part of the country and the Amazon. It is the largest city in the Amazon region of Brazil with approximately 1.5 million inhabitants.

2) Find!
  
The World Social Forum is a space for communication and exchange. The thousands of journalists worldwide proceeding arrived in Belem to follow the day of the World Social Forum, working on video productions, and news articles about another possible world.
  
Five projects will work within the shared communication FACOM (School of Communication) in UFPA (Federal University of Pará): Radio Forum, WSF TV and Video Forum, Free Knowledge Lab, and Belem Expanded Ciranda.   
The team from the International Press Commission will address the journalists and media employees in the communications room, which is in the Gymnasium of the UFPA.

4) Sign in Openfsm!

OpenFSM - www.openfsm.net - a tool provided by the Communications FSM - a social network is built with free software to facilitate networking and development activities in line parallel to the Forum.

WSF is designed as open space with a high number of self-organized activities, just as the page is a virtual territory OpenFSM open spaces filled with self-employed (each of which can build pages, create mailing list, blog, publicacion collective spaces). So far 800 people have created 200 spaces OpenFsm for the WSF 2009 to develop its activities and visibility of existing networks.
