EN  :  Two possiblities for extended participation in PSF (2)

 

Hello in the canada & WSF list 


For people who are not in Ottawa in PSF at the end of August 21-24, there is  in cooperation with the  PSF  organizing committee ,  an invitation to the extended participation in two forms: 

  1. participation in an "internet WSF cafe  Ottawa" open throughout the PSF from  21 to 24 August, and 
  2. viewing live video of workshop + written chat skype inclusion during some workshops scheduled at PSF  which will have been "extended" on the internet by their own organizers. This implies  that  some workshop organziers " extend their workshop on internet (400 PSF Workshop organizers are on this list)

  1. Basically wsf cafe is a place for informal encounters between people in Ottawa and people abroad through skype 
  2. Whether you come to Ottawa or not, if you are interested  by a participation in the café  please fill the form  «participation in  WSF café ottawa   here » : https://docs.google.com/forms/d/16CWRrCsnjC_ugftEoHfDItaQB0vdaP-ZUJA94hf02GQ/viewform  here and

  4. The participants who will fill the form  for the WSF café will be on a specific mailing list WSF/FSM cafe ottawa participants WSF coffee ottawa bilingual english french

The goal of organizers is to give in the workshops .remote participants capacity to view live video of discussions in the workshop + skype chat with a correspondent/ spokesperson 

 

A / If you are an organizer of a workshop in PSF and are interested by the idea of expanding  participation on the internet  to your workshop 

  1. You will need two volunteers each ( one can be you at least until the day of the workshop)  with a computer, one to produce a live video broadcast and  the other to chat with those who watch live video . Look for them around you. Also some PSF volunteers may be interested to be extension volunteers and contact you once you are visible( point 4)
  2. IMPORTANT We recommend that you create a public skype account    and indicate it  in the the form ( item 4) ( a suggestion for this account is short name of your organization account "myorg" followed by ". extension" so  "myorg.extension" will do nicely)
  3.  register in the  "extending my PSF activity  form" here »: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1qS4GG7naeX9mGkcYyuh8A9PrUs6ET5sSmav9Ys6B06M/viewform. 
  4. Your workshop will  then be part of a list of extended workshops visible here ( showing first 10 workshops ( and you can be contacted by slype mail or phone since this data is avaiable in PSF website: http://openfsm.net/projects/canada-etand-fsmwsf/psfextension-list-extended-psf-fsp-activities  
  5. Future remote  participants in the workshop can then make contact with this public skype account  visible in the table point 4  or by mail of phone , and you can include them in a chat room: >> http://openfsm.net/projects/tecnointercomfsm/skype-conversation-room-for-feedbacks-en
  6. You  will be welcomed in an e-mail list "Extending PSF workshops"  PSF/FSP extending activities and receive specific guidance.

B / If you are out of Ottawa on PSF days 21 24  and interested and available in principle for a serious extended participation (staying online throughout the duration of the workshop)

  3.  Also many assemblies  on 23 and 24 will be livestreamed on http://rabble.ca . It is not yet known  if a chat room for extended participation will be set up in some of those assemblies

C / If you want to be an "Extension volunteer" in  PSF - Ottawa,

  1. You can be ensuring live broadcast video  of discussions in a workshop  or  being  there correspondent  for a skype in contact with remote participants ,

FRANCAIS M2B     Deux possibilités de participation étendue au FSP  

Bonjour, sur la liste Canada & FSM

 

Pour les personnes qui ne sont pas à Ottawa au FSP 21-24 août 2014, voici , en coopération avec le comité d’organisation FSP, une proposition de participation étendue au FSP sous deux formes :

  1. Participation  à un  « café internet FSM Ottawa » ouvert durant tout le FSP du 21-24 aout
  2. Visionnage vidéo  des discussions en direct + clavardage skype en retour dans certains ateliers programmés au FSP qui auront été « étendus » sur internet par leur propres organisateurs.( 400 organisateurs d’ateliers FSP sont sur cette liste)

Le but est de permettre a des participants a distance de visionner video direct des discussions dans l’atelier + participer a un clavardage skype avec un "correspondant-porte parole", présent dans l’atelier 

 

  • A/ Si vous êtes un organisateur d’un atelier au FSP et êtes intéressé(e) par l’idée d’élargir la participation à votre atelier sur internet, 

  1. Vous aurez besoin de deux volontaires( vous pouvez etre l'un deux jusqu'au jour de votre atelier)  avec chacun un ordinateur un pour faire la video en direct l’autre pour faire le clavardage avec ceux qui regardent la video en direct Also some PSF volunteers may be interested to be extension volunteers and contact you once you are visible( point 4)
  2. IMPORTANT nous recommandons de  créer dès aujourd’hui  le compte skype public pour votre atelier   avant de remplir le formulaire  ( point3 - il vous est demandé dans le formulaire ( un nom abrégé de votre organisation « monorga »  suivi de « .extension »,  donc "monorga.extension "fera très bien l’affaire)

  4.   6. Vous serez dans une liste courriel  « fsp extending workshops » et recevrez des indications spécifiques.

 

  • B/ Si vous êtes hors de Ottawa les 21 24 août  et intéressé(e) et disponible en principe pour une participation étendue sérieuse ( rester connecté toute la durée de l’atelier)

  3.  Aussi ,diverses  assemblées les  23 et 24  aout  seront filmées en direct sur http://rabble.ca .  il n'est pas défini encore si certaines  de ces assemblées filmées auront une salle de tchat  pour la participation étendue
