This message is basically  an invitation to sharing ideas in group G1 on
"time factor" around wsf2015 build up, and IC future discussion build up,
two issues which are in the agenda (*) of next IC meeting

it is not giving opinion about  the date of next IC

Decision  about date of IC meeting  is of course with our friends from
Morrocco who are making this next IC meeting possible

Beyond communication of personal availabilies on December or February
tentative dates,  or preferences (as a few of us did ) ,it may be useful to
*share considerations around the time factor  on two issues   1/
preparation wsf2015, and 2/discussion on IC future*

On the first item, inputs of those present ni this group  who are active
in "initiatives  towards wsf2015" are welcome ! *( Carminda Meena Raphael
Vijay  ..) *

On the second,  those  (too few...) who are active in group 2 and 3 and
also present in this group G1 might also want share some thoughts

*Current situation since tunis:* There so far no discussion held in group
G1 about the preparation , in july a draft letter about wsf2015 has been
circulated and raised no comments

Indian WSf2015 initiative is gathering speed with a group of 100
participants / representatives meeting in lucknow and  outcomes of meetings
21st and 27th september are expected and also  a meting in delhi 19thOctober

There is an initiative in Quebec with a group willing to involve energies
of  “new movements” in the preparation of wsf2015 in a polycentric /
extended perspective around a concentration of activities  in Quebec  - a
first on conversation was held on line with a limited participation (
material to be published soon)

There is no other official announcement of initiative made so far, maybe
other announcements for initiatives towards WSF2015 might appear before a
next IC meeting ?

*Time factor  on wsf 2015 build up  and  IC meeting dates?*

How much time is needed after a "green light"  given in IC to prepare
bigger event(s) in wsf 2015?  Usually a long enough notice is given -  in
case of Tunisia there was a 18 month time (end of 2011 – march 2013)

is a polycentric option helpful  to have a delayed decision making
process, ? it may introduce other considerations ( simultaneity or not
etc..) - it may be good to discuss this in the G1 group

Also specific event  build-ups may need less time, according to local
accumulated collective experience in organizing social forum

*2/ DISCUSSION ON FUTURE OF IC INSIDE WSF PROCESS  tunis group G2  and G3*

*Current situation since tunis:*  There is a slow but steady activity in
progress in the working group  Tunis G2 to stimulate a discussion about IC
future using  *"WSF IC surveys "* ( one survey has been recently sent on ci
list) - 5 people have contributed to drafing surveys and about another 10
have explored those surveys so far

There are two texts coming as first inputs in a post tunis discussion about
wsf process  placed in the space of tunis Group G3, with no other inputs
nor discussion on the list  so far

It is to be noted that WSF process is active enough in 2014 through several
significant events, some of them might be occasions to host an ic meeting
after the next one (  Porto alegre  -  Lucknow - Sarajevo  - Canada  -

*December* – A close enough face to face meeting perspective might stir on
line discussion /contributions " surge"  on future of IC in group G2 G3
and on IC plenary list in October/November

*February *-  the one line discussion "surge" may be just delayed  and we
have another three months of calm on the lists,  or   matures  and grow
steadily -
