Dear Hilal, Meena, Uddhab, and all
Thank you for the invitation to the Kathmandu meeting : "Organisations from outside South Asia are also encouraged to participate.".
Going to Kathmandu from outside the region for one day maybe difficult, but ....there is always the option of tele participation !
May be this Kathmandu meeting could be “enlarged on internet”, as October 2011 preparation meeting for SASF Dhaka which was enlarged successfully by sasf Dhaka extension team (check here videos and chat : select item 9 in the page http://openfsm.net/projects/sasf-bangladesh-extended
A little team of two can test and secure the connectivity in the hotel room and one person can be streaming and the other one can be our “ Kathmandu host” :
“Kathmandu host” is continuously connected throughout the day on a previously publicised skype account ( eg “sasfmeeting.extension”) and interacts in a specific chatroom with tele participants who would be viewing the stream from anywhere in the world .
It is a simple scheme and it works
So if this team and the willingness to enlarge the meeting exist, I will be personally glad ( and probably many of us ) to answer the invitation and tele participate several hours to the Kathmandu meeting ( catching up on the other part , thanks to recorded streamed video and notes put on skype by our “host”)
Kindly let know how you feel about this
Best
Pierre
