Call for Demonstration
Breaking the Siege on Gaza
Solidarity with International Delegations
Ittijah expresses its full support and solidarity with all international
delegations and locals who suffer from the aggressive Israeli policies
denouncing their entrance into Gaza to support the Palestinian struggle
against the Israeli occupation and its practices of apartheid, forced
isolation and collective imprisonment of our fellow Palestinians in Gaza. We
also send our support to those activists who are on hunger strike and are
trying to enter into Gaza from the Egyptian borders. Furthermore, we highly
criticize the Official Egyptian refusal to cooperate with all means of
support with the Palestinians in Gaza.
Ittijah- Union of Arab Community Based Associations calls for the widest
participation in the demonstration to be held on Thursday 31/12/2009 to mark
Israel’s aggressive attack on Gaza last year. The Demonstration will take
place at the borders checkpoint into Gaza- Erez checkpoint- at 11:00. This
demonstration is organized in cooperation with the International committee
to break the siege on Gaza and its counterpart in Gaza city and is organized
by the High Follow Up Committee for Arabs in Israel including political
parties and civil society representatives, community leaders and key
figures. The demonstration aims to call for the breaking of the siege which
still leaves our Palestinian people under ongoing strict blockade with a
continuous refusal to even allow humanitarian aid to reach them.
