Back to Technology Working Group

When we do online meetings, we sometimes use Internet Relay Chat, or IRC.

When we use IRC, we use the OFTC  network, and we meet in channel #wsf.  This can be written as: irc://irc.oftc.net/#wsf

If you've never used IRC before, you might need to set up an IRC client.  If you're using a mozilla-based browser (e.g. Firefox), you can install chatzilla, which should make it so you can click on the link above to start the chat.

If you don't use a mozilla-based browser, you might be interested in pidgin,  which is a chat client that works on both windows and linux.  If you use Mac OS X, you might be interested in adium, which is a chat client for that platform.
