Hello Jason

I'm halfway between Rome (People's Food Sovereignty forum) & home (Tarbes...)

Do you know what (if anything) was said in Dakar about interpreting?

Many thanks

Judith

Subject: [Communication commission discussion] Meeting today ?

Dear all,

I just came back from Dakar, where the first meeting at the panafrican and
international level took place in preparation of the WSF 2011. I think it
has been a good meeting and we also had space for a working group con
communication and culture for a few hours, raising many issues and trying to
find how the 3 levels (local, regional and international) can work
together. Igor should be sending shortly a report of the meeting - and
others from the WSF2011 organising committee will join us in the next online
meetings.

With Salete and Rita, who where also present, we finalized the Comcom's
brief report back to the IC, which you can find at the following link:
http://openfsm.net/projects/communication-commission/report-of-montreal-ic-meeting-oct.09

Any comment welcome (by the 20th) - then it will be translated and sent out
to the IC witht the other commissions' reports.

Finally, I will be online for 1 hour tonight at 9pm Rome/Paris time. I can
report back from Dakar and I think we should make a calendar of the next
meetings and agenda items (so far we have the 24th dedicated to tech
group). We also need to start detailing our working plan...

cheers,
Jason
