hoping you are well i will sent to you a draft idea for the wsftv in Dakar .

Let me know what are you think about  and please contribute to enphatize or
correct some points, when the presentation is finalize we can post on the
lists for a wide discussion.

Like in the previous forum the idea is also to set up a video team that can
produce every days video for the Eurovision world feed that means to send
the images to more then 450 broadcaster around the world. The team of course
will upload the video on wsftv and share the footage with wsftv Dakar
project.

WSFTV DAKAR 2011 PROJECT -DRAFT

wsftv.net's  facilitator propose for the next Global Forum in Dakar  to
create a webtv and be integrated in the media sharing project.

In recent years, starting from the experience of the world day of
mobilization of the WSF in 2008 WSFTVd has hosted dozens and dozen of videos
about the struggles that are intersect with the open space of the World
Social Forum.

In Belem WSFTV has hosted more than 45 videos made during the Foum which
took place in the Amazon during the forum and for the " WSF spread of 2010"
almost all the forums have been represented.

Now beyond the normal coverage of the event wsftv facilitator group aims to
have a section within the site that can accommodate streaming video of
Extended and a section that is configured as a webtv.


To make a webtv we need an Internet connection that works, and we need to
have different sets of video makers who are able to produce every day a
number of videos.

Volunteers are required to follow the conference available to do the
streaming, which means having a numere of video cameras and computer servers
and software and of course that can support the flow of images.

With regard to teams of cameramen and people streaming we begin to map who
can do this job and create a team composed of fellow African and
international participants.

Given the complexity of the project propose to divide the activities
wsftv.net in 3 sections :


*Daily production  video coverage for wsftv -Eurovision  -basic
configuration and Videomatone*

2 teams of cameramen and editors who can also look at the highlights to be
distributed to international broadcasters by Eurovision, as done in previous
forums.

2 teams of cameramen and editors who take charge of the basic coverage of
the forum wsftv.net

A producer for coordination.

Journalists to do interviews.

An engineer for the distribution and Internet connections.

VIDEOMATON -wsftv team propose to the video crew that will run Videomatone
project to upload the video interviews produce every day on wsftv

This is the basic configuration but are welcome all who wish to participate
by video cameras, installation, translation etc..


*Production of live streaming for webtv.*


A team consisting of a cameraman to cover a television studio where do
interviews, journalists who do the interviews, a workstation installation,
Internet connection, software for live streaming and video management.

Videomatone can also be present in this section in a form of videobox.


*Production extended by video.*

In Dakar, we saw that it is possible to do video conferencing with other
countries in the world, the production team already exists within the
university. I think we must take care of the  coordination and support the
production.

A specific team to follow the links and the distribution of streaming is

The site can therefore accommodate www.wstv.net video clips and highlights
produced daily with the formula of  VOD (video on demand) and in a dedicated
section, as was done with Free-speachtv during the forum in Detroit, for the
live streaming and studiotv live or on demand .


All the material produce will be avaible for downloading e redistribution
follwing the term of Creative Commons.
