Dear All,

OHCHR is organising the Social Forum on Climate Change and Human Rights that
will be convened in October 4-6, 2010 in Geneva in Palais des Nation, room
XX.

The main topics for 2010 Social Forum were identified by the Human Rights
Council (HRC) resolution as follows:

(a) The adverse effects of climate change on the full enjoyment of human
rights, including the right to life and economic, social and cultural
rights;

(b) Measures and actions to address the impact of climate change on the full
enjoyment of human rights at the local, national, regional and international
levels, including on most vulnerable groups, particularly women and
children;

(c) International assistance and cooperation in addressing the human rights
related impact of climate change.

The Forum mainly is a dialogue avenue for NGOs to communicate with HRC
member states. The participants will include HRC's member states, NGOs, UN
agencies and academia representatives.
