Dear friends,

This message confirms that the next WSF International Council meeting will be held in Dakar, Senegal, on November 09^th, 10^th, 11^th and 12^th 2010. The meeting will take place in the buildings of Cheikh Anta Diop University.

Before the IC also in Dakar, the Social Movements Assembly is going to be held on November 05^th - 07th  and the African Social Forum Council will take place on November 07th. The Liaison Group of the IC should also meet on the 8th and the 12th. The idea is to make as many meetings as possible at the same period, avoiding additional costs with tickets.

CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE AND SOLIDARITY FUND

In order to prepare all the logistics of the meeting and the solidarity fund, we request all organizations to urgently confirm their participation at the meeting.

We also ask all people from OCDE countries (except those from Mexico, South Korea and East Europe) that will participate at the IC meeting to contribute with at least 400 Euros. The resources raised with this fund will be used for partial reimbursement of ticket and/or accommodation of participants from the South, taking into account the following:

-           We will only accept requests for the solidarity fund sent until October 10^th 2010, always considering 01 person per IC member organization;

-           It is not possible to guarantee now the total refunding for the ticket. The percentage of refunding will depend on the amount collected by the solidarity fund and the demands received. However, due the budgetary restrictions and the average number of participants at IC meetings, we are calculating a maximum reimbursement of 70% of costs.  As usually, the reimbursement will be done directly during the meeting. The participants that will be supported by the Solidarity Fund must bring a copy of their tickets.

ACCOMODATION

We are looking for a hotel where all participants can stay together in the same place. We will arrange lodging in double rooms for those who need support with accommodation (always considering 1 person per IC organization). Soon, we will send more logistic information and details.

For now we are waiting your registration form and confirmation of attendance. We insist that you send the confirmations of attendance up until October the 10^th due to the short time we have for all the necessary organization of the meeting.
