We would like to remind all of you that the next WSF International Council
meeting will take place in Dakar, Senegal, from November 09. to 12.
2010, preceded
by the social movements meeting (05-07 November) and the African Social
Forum Council (08 November). The IC meeting will take place at Cheikh Anta
Diop University. Summarizing:

*Some practical information:*



*Before leaving: a valid passport is required and for some of you, an entry
visa for Senegal. A national identity card is acceptable for nationals of
Ecowas countries. The yellow fever vaccine is recommended.



*Temperatures: the weather is usually warm during November with temperatures
ranging from 28-30°C.



*Currency: convertible currencies can be freely exchanged at banks, foreign
exchange offices and the main Hotels. Exchange rate is approximately 1 us$ =
420 Francs CFA, 1 euro = 655.957 francs CFA



*Time zone: Senegal is in the GMT time zone.



* Electricity: the electricity voltage is 220 with two-pole plugging
sockets.



* For security reasons, we ask you not to walk around with valuables and
take the minimum with you when you go out. It is advisable to negotiate the
price offered in the street or on the market (about one third of the price
announced)



The agenda of meetings are being defined and will be sent soon.


Accommodation in double rooms will be guaranteed for those who asked or are
going to ask for the Solidarity Fund until the deadline (October 10th 2010,
next Sunday). For all the others, a list with hotels in Dakar will be sent
in order for you to book your reservations.



In order for us to organize the logistics of the meeting, it is important
that those who need *VISA* and/or haven't confirmed their attendance yet do
so until October 1oth 2010. Those who have already sent their registration
forms, don't need to do it again.
