Dear friends of the IC
 
Greetings from Maraba, southern Para, in the amazonian north of Brasil.
 
For reasons of grave family health, I am unable to leave the country to represent IDEA and the coordination of the Assembly of Culture & Education for Transformation at the meeting of the IC next week in Dakar. I am therefore sending you this report in English and Portuguese on the 2010 meetings of the World Forum of Culture and Education for Transformation, and have asked Salete Valesan and Rita Freire to respond to any questions if the coordinators of the Forum are unable to participate virtually by skype.
 
We aim to contribute too to the the discussion about the methods, opening and closing, and cultural programme of the 2011 WSF, to guarantee more 'dialogic communication' and 'arts-based cultural methods' throughout the world forum.
 
I am disappointed not to be with you all, and wishing you a dialogic and productive meeting!

Queridos amigos y amigas de la CI

Saludos desde Marabá, en el sur de Pará, en el norte amazónico de Brasil.

Por razones de salud familiar grave, no puedo salir del país para representar a IDEA y la coordinación de la Asamblea de Cultura y Educación para la Transformación en la reunión de la semana próximo CI en Dakar. Por tanto, estoy enviando este relato en Inglés y Portugués de las reuniones del Foro Mundial de Cultura y Educación para la Transformación en el 2010, y han pedido a Salete Valesan y Rita Freire para responder a cualquier pregunta si los coordinadores del Foro no puede participar virtualmente por skype.

Nuestro objetivo es contribuir también a la discusión sobre los métodos, la apertura y encierramiento, y el programa cultural del Foro Social Mundial 2011, para garantizar más la «comunicación dialógica» y «métodos culturales basados en el arte" en todo el foro mundial.

Estoy decepcionado por no estar con todos ustedes y desearles una dialógica y productiva reunión!
