Dear friends,

I fully share Marko's, Hector's and Teivo's remarks. 'Terrorism' has been defined in such a way these past years, that it has become dangerous to adhere to. Of course we have to fully support our Tunisian friends, and our solidarity should have no qualifications. But a 'Charter against terrorism' does not seem to me the be the best way to go.
We might indeed add 'and in  favour of non-violence', though there are so many situations in today's world where violence may become inevitable, and Mexico is one of these places. Not all violence is terrorism.
Is it not more 'tolerance' we want to promote, in all our societies? Is it not 'fundamentalism' of all kinds we want to fight?
I think this point will have to be discussed further and I am sure we can find a solution that is satisfactory to all.

Dear IC Comrades,

The points that Marko Ulvila and Héctor De la Cueva, in slightly  
different ways, pointed out are important. I also believe we should  
try avoid such formulations and framings that resemble the US-led "war  
on terrorism". Adding the "...and for non-violence" might be one way  
to achieve this.
