Ref: Film-Forum against antisemitism, anti-islamism, anti-ziganism and
anti-all forms of racism and social/ethnic discrimination...

Dear friends,
Warm greetings from Uppsala, already back from the 3rd World Forum of
Sociology in Vienna...

Herewith I include a proposed film-forum that was intended to be shown
sometime during the forum, but seemingly there was no time...

Nonetheless, it could be done on a better occasion.

I have been criticized from different quarters for the choice of a film
focused on jewish women...a subject that turned revealing in my eyes.

For purposes of this film-forum project, they could be palestinian, syrian,
Roma or any another oppressed women on Earth.

In other words, I am discovering the latent antisemitism that is deep
anchored due to 2100 years of brewing antisemitism, which is also
entrenched not only among extreme Right populists but also among our  left
comrades...

No doubt it is a controversial issue: many times due criticism of Israel´s
apartheid is dismissed as antisemitism, while non-essentialist affirmative
views of jews is dismissed as pro-zionist. We have constructed another
binary polarization between anti - and philo semites of all sorts, being
that like with all ethno-national constructions they are just
constructions...that have tragically become "essentialized" and
"naturalized," as with neoliberalism and the end of history...

The proposed film-forum program entails: projection of documentary film (60
minutes) + 1 1/2 to 2-hours dialogue with the audience,

intended to counteract antisemitism and all forms of racism and ethnic &
social discrimination.

Please, kindly let me know your views on the matter.
