    Dear Friends
I am Saqib just joined the mailing list so thats why thought of introducing myself. our Research Group for Information Systems at the University of Siegen (Germany) focuses on sociotechnical systems and collaboration support. We are known for our expertise in user-centered and community computing, cooperation platforms, knowledge management and socio-informatics.
Recently, we are interested in research on the usage of new technologies by transnational NGOs and networks of civil society organizations. Therefore, we would like to analyze the preparation process of NGO summits and events (like World Social Forum and European Social Forum). Our aim is not only to learn about the users’ needs and organizational requirements but to develop new and innovative solutions which take these socio-technical issues into consideration.
My intention is to generally investigate how IT tools and knowledge is helping in orgnaizing social forums? How the knowledge about these tools and technologies travels from one organizing committe to other. and we maybe able to help the process by providing some applications tools etc which are required.
    Thanks.
    Regards
    Saqib
