Dear comrades,

1. Aran is a journalist that we know well, valiant and with a lot of experience. I believe that when he publicly criticized the WSF process he received very clear responses, including from Mauri. And by the way, Aran is not from CI, is he?

2. In this current exchange of messages, I generally agree with Damien's arguments. It is very important to resume the Report on the WSF 2018. I hope that we will be able to send the versions in Spanish, English and French very soon and that everyone will read them before the next IC meeting on 10 and 11 October that will define the construction of the next global edition of the WSF towards Mexico.

3. The political and organic revitalization of the WSF process is underway and with full success. The three meetings already scheduled for September demonstrate this. We are doing in practice what we defined at CI in Porto Alegre and we have been able to animate strongly since the end of March. The door is already open for debates and for the new construction of the next global edition of the WSF. And we will certainly do it in better conditions, without being "stuck" with the "ghosts of the past".

Let's go ahead, with dialogue and mutual respect.

Dear Savio,

The 1st IC Extended Meeting, on 06/27, as we know, mobilized widely and attracted new partners (and brought back some old ones), above the expectations of many of us - and, in addition, he was politically rich.

Now in September, we will hold: Meeting with major Global Networks ("Short meeting", on 12/09/2020); Meeting with Thematic Forums, by Territories etc (on 9/19); and the 2nd IC Extended Meeting, to complete this phase of the revitalization (on 26-27/09). And on October 10-11, we will hold the next IC meeting to define the construction paths for the next global edition of the WSF towards Mexico.

These are the hard data. For pessimists and optimists.

It is in this process of political and organic revitalization that we must make concrete proposals for the new roles of the WSF in the face of the challenges of this situation.

Rather than focusing on the limitations and "ghosts of the past" - of course, we will also face and overcome them, yes - the most important thing is to debate and overcome them with concrete political proposals for the present and the future.

That is what we are looking to do - and we are doing - in practice.

Creating real conditions so that we can build new consensus and a new WSF process with much greater political relevance worldwide.

This is what we need and what the enormous challenges of this situation demand from all of us.

We are together.
