Participants from the MENA region (Ahwaz to Western Sahara) present struggles for equity in access to land and against occupation/alien exploitation and privatization of natural resources. The three-day event (26-28 March 2013) will bring together scholars, activists, legal practitioners and small-scale farmers and rural workers to establish a common research and advocacy agenda for the coming two years across the MENA region. The MENA Land Forum IV builds on previous Forum sessions held in Cairo to develop the civil society advocacy and research agenda to apply human rights in land and natural resource administration across Middle East/North Africa.
