Friday:

Registration opens at 5:00

At 7:00 things get underway with a panel discussion entitled Movements in Saskatchewan: Looking Back, Moving Forward. Speakers include James Holmes (Waterwatch), Candyce Paul (Committee for Future Generations), Rick Sawa (Council of Canadians PA), and more. The evening will cap off with a group discussion about challenges and opportunities in Saskatchewan.

Saturdaywill feature a plenary session, workshops and several movement assemblies.

Programming will start at 9:00 with a plenary. At 10:00 our workshops start, with a radical book fair and an arts space running at the same time.

At 3:30 Movement Assemblies will occur. This is a space where people are coming together for discussion and brainstorming over where we can build capacity in Saskatchewan. The main topics being discussed are: Environment and Energy, Poverty and Economic Justice, Workers Rights and Public Services and Movements, Alliances and Solidarity.

We are also thrilled that the Saskatchewan Council of International Cooperation is partnering with us to host their 40th year anniversary AGM and celebration. The AGM is happening in the afternoon. The celebration is happening at the Artesian at 7:30, and features great local band Adino Suns. Learn morehere.

Sunday

At 9:30 we will convene for a general assembly – where all of the ideas brought up during the forum are brought forward and shared. Discussion around next steps will occur.

At 12:00 we will gather at the Legislature for an action in solidarity with thePeoples Climate March,which is happening in New York. The Regina action will focus on theEnergy East Pipeline,which is the largest tar sands pipeline yet – and it is slated to go right through Regina.
