15-18 december  7th ISF season in Baghdad

For the seventh time on a row, Iraqi civic, social movements and entities including the organizations, unions, syndicates, associations, active individuals, academics and activists are all getting ready to initiate the preparations and arrangements to launch the activities of the seventh season of Iraqi Social Forum, under the slogan of ‘Solidarity … for Another Possible Iraq”.

The secretariat of Iraqi Social Forum invites the associations, organizations, networks, civil and social entities/establishments to join the season of ISF, for it is going to provide the space necessary for you to self-organize the set of sessions and seminars tackling issues and notions related to the efforts made; aiming to achieve and reach the goals and principles of social justice, civil and political rights and the state of true citizenship.

 we anticipate an  active contribution in our seventh annual activity with hundreds of Iraqis.

The Iraqi Social Forum [ISF] is a chapter of the World Social Forum that strives to build a powerful social justice movement uniting Iraqis as part of a shared, worldwide struggle to advance human rights and freedoms, and oppose corruption, exploitation, and militarism. The ISF brought together NGO leaders, labor union representatives, and human rights activists who participated in 19 small group sessions on topics including nonviolent social action, creative media advocacy, women’s rights, environmental action, legislation to advance the needs of differently abled persons, workers’ rights and other critical labor and economic issues. On the second day, Assemblies of Convergence addressed three theme: citizenship 
via the Iraqi Social Forum Facebook page and the Baghdad Marathon Facebook page.
