[16:00:15] Krishna: So why don't you get the computer.Musa- Very good to know about it.

[16:01:58] Musa (Kenya): Am somehow far from the computer access but next time I will really be available for video call

[16:02:01] Krishna: Here Myself Krishna and other involved in organising the Dalits and other marginalized people in India---- we fight for their rights and minimum needs.

[16:02:29] David (Kenya): I am the Convener for the Coalition for Constitution Implementation Kenya and the Kenyan Peasants League. I am also the Secretary General of the Coalition for Grassroots Human Rights Defenders and also the former President of Bunge la Mwananchi (People's Parliament)

So Krishna the Dalits are being denied their rights? What is the current situation?

[16:05:27] Krishna: Now there is so much awareness among the dalits and various dalits groups are rising against the state and the oppressor.Dalit movement is now slowly getting recognition at international level and most of the dalits in various universities are organizing against denial of their rights.

[16:07:04] David (Kenya): That is great news. There is need for equity and equality based on Social Justice and Human Rights

[16:07:46] Krishna: Yes. We are all struggling to achieve that.

[16:07:57] David (Kenya): It is great to hear that a lot is being achieved by your efforts

[16:07:58] Musa (Kenya): It is very important for the government to recognise The rights of the marginalized people.

[16:08:18] Krishna: Hi David and Musa how many people were there. Why did not get your computer.

[16:09:34] David (Kenya): Me I can take part in the call

[16:13:50] Musa (Kenya): No problem Krishna....we can have another meeting next time where all of us can be available for a group call. We must amplify our struggle to ensure that everybody in the society get social justice

[16:14:00] Krishna: Musa and David from same place.

[16:14:36] Musa (Kenya): Yes both of us are from Kenya

[16:14:47] Krishna: Sure yes we should make our lives more meaningful.

[16:15:30] Musa (Kenya): So when can we have another meeting which can involve video calling?

[16:15:55] David (Kenya) a invité Ferdinand (Burundi) ***David (Kenya): Welcome Ferdinand from Burundi

[16:16:44] Krishna: Hello Ferdinand So we will announce another day suitable to all of us.send me email to me- so that I can also get ready.

[16:19:36]Krishna: Happy to speak to you.

[16:19:45] Musa (Kenya): Yes we can announce another day suitable for all of us

[16:20:03] David (Kenya): Happy to hear from you One organization working on child Labor and another working on Dalits Rights. they are over 250million. I am saying that Our struggles are linked and we need to build solidarityEven in Kenya there are groups who are marginalised

[16:29:04] Musa (Kenya): We need to fight harder and rescue the world from all these forms of oppression. We can do this through the struggles of Word Social Forum and by linking up with each other. Having exchange programs is very important in setting up the the mechanisms of understanding each other's struggles.

[16:30:11] David (Kenya): Why Dalits being marginalized? Because of the Caste system which is very atrocious, Krishna - the Upper class dominates the lower Caste hence they are denied their rights

[16:32:18] Krishna: It is because of the caste system, in which dalits were treated as lower castes and they were denied of their rights ; and dalits could not have land rights and most live by doing labour work. Dalits don't have much property, they are almost slaves in India.Upper caste were  criminals--- upper castes never allow any dalit person to come up in the society or life.

[16:34:02] David (Kenya): In Kenya most tribes are segregated against based on tribalism And ethnicity

[16:35:42] Musa (Kenya): So these people are slaves in their own country. In Kenya the country's wealth is in the hands of a few individuals making the common poor unable to survive

[16:37:15] David (Kenya): In Kenya we have a problem is Al Shabaab

[16:37:59] Krishna: What is the total population of Kenya?

[16:38:20] David (Kenya): 40 million

[16:38:48] Krishna: What are the important crops and minerals in your country.

[16:39:02] David (Kenya): Maize beans Cash crops we have sugarcane, Rice, Coffee, tea

[16:40:08] Krishna: Maize is also sowed in our locality.

[16:40:23] David (Kenya): We also have cassava, millet, sorghum As food crops

[16:40:40] Musa (Kenya): Do you grow maize on large scale?

[16:40:52] Krishna: In our locality Corn also is developed well

[16:41:04] David (Kenya): That is great

[16:41:26] Krishna: Not Maize, but Corn grown in large part of land.

[16:41:47] David (Kenya): So here in Kenya we can offer solidarity by petitioning the local Indian High Commission

[16:42:53] Krishna: So you will submit memorandum to Indian High Commission. On what issue.

[16:44:14] David (Kenya): Yes. When you have action there we can do concurrently here by presenting petition to the Indian High Commission in Nairobi

[16:44:41] David (Kenya): If you have activities regarding Dalits Rights My Internet is so Low The UDHR protect all including the Dalits
