 .......The world witnessed huge demonstrations, unparalleled in the history,
against the US invasion of Iraq. This international solidarity is now being
convened once again in support of the Iraqi Social Forum [ISF]. YOU CAN SHOW
CONCRETELY THIS SOLIDARITY IN VARIOUS WAYS, ALSO IF YOU DO NOT COME TO BAGHDAD
(SEE BELOW  INFORMATION ON EXTENSION OF ISF )

CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS FROM IRAQ RAISE INSIDE ISF SPACE issues pertinent
to the people of Iraq: building a civic and democratic country; challenges
faced by minorities; equitable distribution of wealth and social justice;
labor unions, and peasant associations; rights of women, youth, children;
economic, social, and cultural issues; international solidarity campaigns (for
freedom of expression, to save the Tigris, to oppose Private Military
Companies); nonviolence as a way of social, cultural, and economic change in
Iraq. Sports Against Violence and Artistic activities will be associated to
the forum.

International participation in the Baghad ISF forum event will be limited in
numbers for security reasons, but the ISF preparatory committee is looking for
a venue in Baghdad safe enough for internationals to attend. 

INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION IN ISF FROM ABROAD THROUGH EXTENSION OF ISF WILL
BE ALSO CONTEMPLATED.

 IN THIS PERSPECTIVE, LOCAL VOLUNTEERS WILL ALLOW ON-LINE PARTICIPATION TO
SOME ACTIVITIES HELD IN BAGHDAD BY INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS FROM OTHER
CITIES/COUNTRIES THROUGH STREAMING AND CHAT

ALSO THEY WILL SUPPORT TELE ENCOUNTER ACTIVITIES BETWEEN BAGHDAD AND ANYWHERE
IN THE WORLD THROUGH VIDEOCHAT (EXTENDED ISF).

OF COURSE CAPACITY OF EXTENSION WILL BE ACCORDING TO SIZE OF EXTENDED ISF TEAM
AND LOGISTICS IN THE ISF EVENT PREMISES IN BAGHDAD

Please let us know if you are willing to:
-1 -be with us in Baghdad 
-1A ORGANIZE ACTIVITIES THERE ALONG WITH IRAQI ORGANISATIONS 
-2-endorse the ISF process and
-2a-organize solidarity events in your cities before or during the Iraqi
Social Forum. A member of the ISF committee could speak in your event through
video-conference
-2B-ORGANIZE TOGETHER WITH SOME IRAQI ORGANIZATIONS 2HOURS DURATION
TELEENCOUNTER ACTIVITIES BY VIDEO CHAT (PRELIMINARY TEST VIDEO CHAT ADVISABLE)
-2C-TELE PARTICIPATE COLLECTIVELY TO SOME ENLARGED ACTIVITIES HELD IN BAGHDAD
(IE BROADCASTED BY VIDEO STREAMING(PRELIMINARY TESTING ADVISABLE)
