    Hello in the Nepal and WSF list


The consultation meeting held in kathmandu last feb 17th, has been a  
significant first step,

Now below is an informative  message  about further possibilities for 
involvement and participation

This message comes from "welcoming group" from "wsf 2016 collective", 
based in Montreal, which is taking responsibility for facilitating wsf 
2016 process ( some other persons from montreal collective are also 
included in this list)

You are welcome  to keep it, copy paste it in a text document,  and pick 
those of the 8 points it contains   when they come to be relevant for 
you

Looking forward to reading comments and announcements on this list, or 
in the welcome skype circle, or in faceobok group linked  self organized 
nepali based committee(s)

  Photos  were shared in the nepal and wsf welcome circle on skype  - one 
among many  welcome circles  where to leand and share about possibilies 
and intentions of participation in wsf 2016 in/from Nepal

3/EXTENDED ACTIVITIES BY ORGANIZATIONS / THE  BASIC PATTERN OF 
PARTICIPATION

First extended activities in colombia  france  guinea cameroun senegal  
... expecting some from nepal in the dynamics of extension :

Already scheduled activities by some organizaiton or group of 
organization can be turned into an extended activity - inasmuch they 
include  a moment of information sensitization to what is wsf  and  are 
opened to somehow to remote participation  (see the link techno on top 
of list of circle page)

For announcing an extended activity /  send a short descriptin about 
what who where when with internet links to extension@fsm2016/org - then 
a webpage is created for the activity with an associated skype room 
where people from all over the world can come and meet with the 
organizers of the activity

Extended activities is a simple way to start being active in the 
national and internation scale. Starting with modest acitivities and 
modest international attendanc , learning and gathering experience  for 
oragnizing such activities, and feeling porgressively more at ease and 
in control, as activity preparers/organizers

In march a system or organisaTIons and activities and initiative 
announcement will be available in the website fsm2016.org and extended 
activities scheduled throughout 2016 will be included as montreal  event 
activities 10-12 august

4/SELF ORGANIZED COMMITTES : A NEXT STEP FOR COLLECTIVE FRAMES OF 
PARTICIPATION

A next step in participation can be through collective meetings deciding 
to create self organized committees. this can be a perspective after the 
consultation meeting

A/ a first broad based option is forming a very inclusive  " wsf 
participation promotion commitee"
This committe would be aiming at disseminating awareness and encouraging 
extended acitvities and emergence or focused committees ( point B below) 
   or remote participation in other commitees elswhere ( montreal for 
instance)

There is such a group starting in bangladesh :

or

B/ another step can be forming focused committees, which would  be  :

-targeting creation of "sets of activities"  by their member 
orgnaizations ( in nepal and in montreal)
ie activities sequenced in space and time around a common goal  with 
national or  international dimension depending the issue /goal
or
-targetting creation of  "spaces of activities" by their member 
orgnaisationns
ie activities  gathered in space and time ,around a common thematic
( eg   a summer camp for alternatives before or during wsf event in 
montreal can  be an extended space of wsf2016  activities )

This assembly is  enlarged on internet for participation from nepal (

ushered in the skype room for remote participation in the assembly

Once you ae in the room even if you are not attending live,  you still 
getin the next days the english transcript and the link to the videos
