IMPLEMENTING SDGs in SOUTH ASIA  KATHMANDU act200 august 15th

SADED Nepal, Nepal WSF secretriat and few other Nepalese/Indian civil society groups organized a very interactive 5-hour long round table in Kathmandu, on the 15th of August, on implementing SDGs in South-Asia.

This was organised in the conference room of Denmark hall of Padmakanya PG College in Kathmandu.  There were about 48 participants, including ex planning body member, senior government officials, many CSOs, students unions, political activist groups and academics.  The documents jointly produced by PAIRVI on SDGs, were found to be useful starting point.

The assembly undertook to take-up a Nepal CSO+academia collective exercise on redifing sustainable development goals in the perspective of Nepal's social,

political & economic realities.  Well known Nepalese thinker Shri Ajay Dixit (President - ISET-Nepal) will lead this effort, and several others volunteered to work in this direction.
