NEPAL SOCIAL FORUM  INVITATION TO AGORA OF FUTURES - FINAL MOMENT OF NSF 2018

1. WHAT IS AGORA OF THE FUTURES NSF 2018?
Agora is a horizontal and diverse space, without centrality,for meetings around the question, " what do we intend to do in the next period 2018-19 towards another possible world "?

On March 10th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., participants in NSF come in the agora to meet groups of contributor entities that give impulse to “INITIATIVES” These groups have in the agora a physical "place" with a poster describing an initiative with 3 items  FOR WHAT? ( goal)  WHAT WHEN WHERE HOW? (actions) And WHO?(entity that give impulse) . In this place, they can welcome NSF participants who are interested in getting in touch and perhaps reinforcing the dynamics of their initiative.

The agora welcomes groups holding initiatives and responding to this invitation (see point 3)

This Final moment is a good illustration of the strength of our NSF process with horizontality, diversity, and articulations working towards another possible world. Also main public actions presented by groups giving impulse to initiatives will be visible in the CALENDAR OF THE FUTURES

2. What is the CALENDAR OF FUTURES NSF 2018 ?,
 spanning from March 10th, 2018 to the end of 2019, the calendar is a collective document, consistent with Articles 6 and 7 of the WSF Charter of Principles. It presents in a chronological way the “action dates» of the self-managed initiatives ", between at least 3 entities, discussed at the NSF 2018 and presented in the Agora of the Futures (see 1)

This Calendar is an inspiring and practical tool, a material for agendas of struggles, for  constructions of alternatives, and for articulation building, between those who recognize themselves in the values and goals of WSF participants, as described in the WSF Charter, and intend in networks, to act towards another possible world.

Contributing to the agora with "initiatives" and "declarations" ( part 1 above) allows to include in the "calendar of futures" 1 to 3 dates of public actions between March 2018 and end of 2019. The Calendar will be updated 6 months from online forms  updated by the contributing initiative groups, consistent with the poster descriptions they drafted  in the agora preparation room in NSF

3. How to be a "contributing  group” to the agora and calendar of futures in NSF 2018?

1 / GATHER at least representative of 3 entities, and possibly much more,  

2 / COME to the NSF agora preparation room (located xxxxxxx and open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m march 8 9^th).  

3/ BRING the text of a "declaration of March 10th", or of a description of "initiative" with goals and with 1 to 3 public action-dates in the period March 2018 until end of 2019.  

4 / DRAFT your poster for the agora based on 3/ with the following points WHAT FOR AGAINST WHAT    WHAT WHERE WHEN HOW  WHO ( the poster will be provided)  

5/FILL with guidance of " agora preparation support team”, and based on your poster  drafted in 4/" the on line initiative form”,  and commit to update it for 6 months after the NSF event
