Steps for using your "yourorg.extension" skype account and associated chat room - case of sangat for example
This is a transcript of a skype dialogue held nov 3rd with Sangat - Thanks to Sangat for giving the oportunity to inform other SASF enlarger organisations about how to use yourorg enlargement chat room in skype

Use of skype for enlarged activities
[08:19:20] sangat extension: ok I do use Skype personally however it will help if you share how to use skype to broadcast the event
[08:19:32] sasf bd extension: yes ..skype is used in the enlargementin the following way
It will be used to gatherBEFORE the event , the interested persons , the enlarged chat room is independent from ustream and PERMANENT , and that is quite helpful , and many people use skype
It will be used to receive DURINGthe event inputs from all those that are viewing the broadcastTHIS MEANS THAT YOUR ORGNAISAITON MUST DEDICATE ONE PERSON DURING THE VENT TO BE FULL TIME AVAILABLE TO CHATwith all the remote participants that you will have mobilized from now to November 18th
It may be used AFTERthe event to make follow up on line meetings
How to find the enlargement chat room in my skype interface ?
[08:22:45] sasf bd extension: i will now be writing in the sangat enlargement chat room , and new conversation should appear in your computer, after a little while
do you see the new conversation appearing ? it should be in your “recent conversations” tab , on the left, coming with orange dots with numbers that indicate hwo many inputs in that conversation you have not read
B/ Getting in, “mobilizeing ” for remote participation in the sangat enlarged chatroom

Way 1/ Adding you then you adding your personal contacts
you can" add" people that “you” are in contact with, see the "+" button ( select add people to this conversation in the drop down menu )
so a good first step would be that “you” log in skype with your personal skype user and look for “sangat.extension” user (your public skype user )

[08:31:45] sasf bd extension: A skype user can add in the chat roomONLY people that he/sheis in contact with, so if "you" are accepted as contact by "sangat.extension", thensangat.extension can add "you" in the chatroom

[08:32:33] sasf bd extension: and once this is done, "you" can add all “your” relevant existing skype contacts in the chatroom

Way 2/ sending MAIL INVITATION from sangat and accepting and usheringinterested skype users
[08:34:02] sasf bd extension: 2/ the other way to staff sangat enlargement chat room wil be the following : "other users" receive your email invitation message indicating them to make contact with the public user "sangat.extension" to further be included in the chat room

IF THEY ARE INTERESTED TO PARTICIPATE REMOTELY IN SANGAT ACTIVITY , PEOPLE LOG WITH THEIR PERSONAL SKYPE USER AND ASK FOR MAKING CONTACT WITH "SANGAT.EXTENSION"
you regularly log as “sangat.extension”, and check if you have incoming contact requests ‘( a red number is visible above the contact and recent conversation tabs) , you accepts their contact request and include them in the room

Way 3/ Chatroom participants can be including their contacts

C/Registering the chat room in my computers
Registering the sangat enlarged chatroom as a skype contact in your usual computer
[08:43:38] sasf bd extension: now, “you”and “sangat.extension” can register the sangat enlargement chatroom on your current computer as if it were a person, so you can access the chat room easilyfrom your contact tab
it will be located at the bottom of your contact list
[08:44:12] sangat extension: ok, how do I register it?
[08:44:28] sasf bd extension: what is the name that you see at to top of this page? hopefully you see " enlargement of sangat activities in sasf dhaka 18 22 novwww.wsfsouthasiabd.org"
[08:45:55] sangat extension: yes, now how do i add this to our contact list
[08:46:40] sasf bd extension: ok ! now on the right side of the top line where you read the title there is a group icon, a small with three people in it.When you hover on it with your mouse you see " register as contact" or something like that

[08:48:31] sasf bd extension: yes ! you should see the title appearing at the bottom of your contact list
[08:48:48] sangat extension: yes it does show now
[08:48:49] sasf bd extension: please note this is valid only in the computer you are using now, if you log as sangat extension in another computer you won’t see it
Preparing the Dhaka skype laptop – registering the sangat enlarged chatroom as a skype contact in it
[08:49:09] sangat extension: ok so if we bring another laptop to the Dhaka event, it will have to be registered on it too?
[08:49:17] sasf bd extension: yes, that would be better, it would be good to do that quietly before going to Dhaka ( loggin as sangat.extension in the Dhaka laptop and waiting for the chat conversation to appear and register the chatroom in the Dhaka laptop ) so you have the chatroom at hand when you most need it
[08:49:41] sangat extension: ok so in the coming days when we prepare to get to the event will there be support to get this added on again?

Rules of support for enlargement in Dhaka
[08:51:37] sasf bd extension: the principle is that for the first activity/event that you will be enlarging , we as extensionteam will support you closely and we can make the streaming and you can make the chat liaising which is very important for the participatory aspect
sangat is scheduling only one activity/event, so you will be fully supported for it, if you were intending to broadcast a second one , you would need a second laptop to make the streaming
Case of collaboration in another activity:event – looking at the tentative schedule
[08:53:03] sangat extension: we are registered for one activity but we are collaborating on two...the other one is registered with Akshara

[08:55:53] sasf bd extension: you see akshara in line 4 and sangat in line 31, this is a preliminary schedule based as much as possible on the days you indicated
