3 .- Communicate between these activities  in the WEF  and evaluate possible links between them along  World Social Forum method  list indications

­ What is the event WEF palestine ? 

"Within the  WSF process and consistent with its , charter of principles , was born the concept of an education forum held in Palestine, with its center in Palestine and openess to participation from the rest of the world

The World Education Forum  (WEF) will be held from 28 al 31 october 

This event is of vital importance in the context of today's world, moreover the conclusion of the Forum in / from Palestine is powerful symbolic value and crucial for Palestine and people of conscience worldwide.

The WEF-P takes place during Israeli army's continued occupation of the Palestinian people, the siege of Gaza and the pursuit of local and international activists. The brutal attack on the Freedom Flotilla was only the latest event in the escalation of Israeli policies of aggression.

The World Education Forum in Palestine, therefore, offers not only a place for people around the world to discuss issues relating to education - participation in the Forum either Palestinian or from anywhere in the world is an act concrete solidarity with the Palestinian people and resistance to occupation.

WEF should take place in five locations where the Palestinian people (Beirut, Gaza, Haifa, Jerusalem, Ramallah)

 

The collective organizer of the WEF also invited to participate from outside palestine  , and this in three ways:


  •           1 - local  expanded activities of the WEF - face to face activities organized in Mexico by organizations on issues of education

              2 - distance encounter activities on education between Mexican groups and Palestinian groups  via internet

  •          3 - distance participation individually or collective  from mexico to activities organized in five places in Palestine via Internet

 Which communication between expanded activities in WEF from our areas and for what?

 

Dear friends from Organizations, Groups, Networks, etc. interested in issues related to education:

If you intend to participate, we invite all to get in touch with us as soon as possible by writing to the address wef-in-palestine-process-discussion  ( at)  lists.openfsm.net   to be included in this mailing list,and  by way of mutual information under

their participation in the FME-P in late October.

This list, primarily  provides  mutual information, and  serves to liaise and see if, and how and to what extent it is relevant  to articulate these initiatives in a  horizontal and open way  between those who are preparing activities from various parts of english speaking areas

synergizing can take form of  co-organizing activities, sharing contacts in Palestine, sharing some elements of logistics and communication, etc. ..

Synergising may allow

  •       Greater visibility and impact

  •       Know better other organizations and education issues in the  international scope and practice of the WSF process in its various forms
