Invitation to participate comes from WSF International council

We invite you to get involved in the task that is going to be one of the novelties of this WSF edition: stimulate the creation of groups – in as many countries as possible, and that represents as many social categories and struggles – willing to take part remotely in the WSF, virtually, via radio broadcasting or by any remote means of communication, with the WSF’s participants in Dakar.

Effectively, what we call “Dakar expanded”, will have a prominent position, notably due to the importance of the African Diasporas across the world.

Many organizations and networks support and relay this invitation

Organizers of Dakar forum put in place a scheme to allow individuals and groups that cannot come to Dakar to participate actively . With three possibilities : distance encounter with a group in Dakar, distance participation to an activity held in Dakar, local activity out of Dakar

Why participate in extended WSF 2011?

• To develop concrete relationships with organizations present in Dakar (including yours!), on issues of common interest and participate to an event proposed by African civil society ( distance encounters )
  
• To participate in discussions and initiatives from worldwide networks present in Dakar (distance participation) , to give concrete expression to one’s inclusion in the overall dynamics of world social forum
• To get in touch with other local organizations in your local area and produce locally social forum dynamics, thus expanding it ( local activities) ,
  
• To include young people in warm and informal interactive moments using internet , use collectively the internet in order to develop fluid and continuous local local and local global international relationships
