7 may Tord2: NEXT STOP: ANTI-RACIST WORLD ORDER   FOR PEACE, ENVIRONMENT AND WELFARE

Why? 

The present world order is in need of change. Its deeply rooted in 500 years of colonial and racial domination which created an unequal world. What we need instead is climate justice, women’s rights and freedom from hunger for all of humanity.

Swedish organization in cooperation with an international social forum network is organizing a week of activities and webinars 8 – 16 May 2023. The purpose is to raise awareness and discussions on how the unequal financial, technological, military, natural resource exploitation and media supremacy of the global North when EU foreign ministers will meet in Stockholm Friday 12 of May 2023. Humanity is facing an escalating social and ecological conflict that threatens the very survival of mankind. What we need is that all people walk side by side and start solving our common problems as equals and listening to the calls of developing countries for a more just and equal order.  

Two of the webinars on 8 and 11 May use the English as a language. The first address the rewriting of history to whitewash neocolonialism by EU and its relativization f the Holocaust. EU presents itself as the good example and the rest of the world as full of threats. This has been explicitly stated by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and security policy, Josep Borrell. He has stated that Europe is a garden and in the rest of the world there is a jungle from which Europa can be invaded. You may participate in a discussion about this issue on the misuse of history and demonizing of those that may put a light on the dominant EU narrative in the first webinar.

The second webinar in English takes place on 11 May. It has the title Tell the truth about history - Justice for victims of slavery and colonialism. Here four Afro-descendants and those defending their rights will address the issue. There is a need to see how the roots of the present racist world order with its wars and economic oppression of the Global South lies in the Transatlantic slave trade. The importance of reparations for this slavery past will be discussed. 

There will also be a part of the hybrid meeting on Friday night in English addressing repression in a program addressing the wider issue of EU and its relation to the racist world order and the need for peace and disarmament for social and ecological transition.

: There is a need of addressing the Racist world order and fight for another world is possible with peace, environmental protection and welfare. There is also a need to denounce racist comment by Wstern leaders as that of Josep Borrell stating that Europe is a garden and from the jungle in the rest of the world and invasion is threatening that peaceful centre of the world. 

We hope some of you are willing to send a message to our activities on 12 May when we make a live screening outside the EU foreign minister venue at CEST 14 (UTC 12 AM) and to the hybrid meeting in the evening with artists and appeals (mainly in Swedish). Your support is needed. We are late aín planning but have receieved enough support for financing professional technical help on Friday, the rest of the webinars are ordinary Zoom meetings.

The first on Monday 8 May tomorrow will be more of a working meeting on how to address the way neocolonialism is white washed by EU and others including the relativization of the Holocaust by equalizing Soviet Union with Nazi german and keep Western colonial powers out of the picture. The second on May 11 is a more traditional webinar with four expert speakers on Justice for victims of slavery and colonialism.
