> Dear All,
>
> We'd like to inform you that on the occasion of the AlterSummit in Athens the Network for Political and Social Rights, Greece, (known to most of you as "Diktyo") will organize a workshop on Saturday, June 8, 2013, 12.30 until 3 p.m., in the open area of the AlterSummit.
>
> The workshop is co-organized by DinamoPress / Metropolitan Assembly of Rome, Komitee fuer die Solidaritaet mit dem Widerstand in Griechenland, Wien (Vienna), and the RedNotebook, Greece. There will also be a contribution by Corinna Genschel, the German coordinator of blockupy international.
>
> The themes of this workshop as they are proposed and posted to the transcollab list:
>
> 1. Rethinking the European space inside the crisis, where internal migration is reshaping a new geography and shifting borders, and south-European countries are facing the imposition of a hierarchization process. How movements can connect their experiences of self-organizing and social solidarity inside this changed space? How can we create successful struggles against the policies of the memoranda (“adjustment programs”)?
> 2. We need to understand the relation between political parties and movements to create the conditions for the co-ordination of struggles and to question the representative system and the failure of any reformist politics in Europe lead by the leftwing parties. How can we create a path towards an anticapitalistic transition able to challenge democracy?
> 3. The economic crisis lead to a social classes polarization, the return to patriotic and nationalistic attitudes and intensification of racist violence against immigrants, refugees, precarious, unemployed etc. How do we find a common answer and create a solidarity network?
>
> We suggest to add (4.) the issue of the fascistization of the societies (so far connected to 3.), the state of emergency and the repression that it practices against all kinds of effective resistance, against anarchists, autonomists, the radical left and even trade-unionist struggles and citizens fighting against the degradation of their lives. Do we want to connect with other antifascists networks and create an antirepression network?
>
> Corinna will report about blockupy Frankfurt (the weekend before) and speak about the relation between parties and movements (see 2.).
>
> We are open to other proposals. They should be posted to me (ro-achim@...) or Kyriaki (kklokiti@...) by Monday, 27th of May the latest so that we can finalize the program.
>
> There will be brief introductions so that we can have lots of time for the discussion.
>
> Hope to see many of you in Athens
>
> Achim (Diktyo)
