Re: EN wednesday chat -titled minutes with links / ES minutas de chat de miercoles - con titulos y lazos

Rita, thank you for the excellent minutes i enjoyed reading them

(small technical thing, at some point on frday i had by magic access through
my skype to the whole chat, now i can't find that group anymore, any advice
anyone? i would really re/read the actual chat to follow the dynamics, while
of course i appreciate the collection made, or pointed at, by pierre...)

i wish to say two quick things that seem to recur in my mind with some
regularity and i wanted to see what people think about it....

In the vision of the WSF, this is (the WSF and i should imagine all its
bodies?) and :open space", not an organisation, but an arena facilitated by
its organisers who are at the service of movements and activists. SO: i have
the feeling that the communication process should facilitate theh
convergence of movements and activists (and whomever is interested in
knowing more of what happens in that space) in a "virtual open space". I so
have the impression that designing that "virtual open space" should be at
the centre of our work as comcom (if i udnerstand correctly both the vision
of the forum and the mandate of the commission).

I have the impression that for this to be done what really needs to be done
is a technical exercise (one that is always recursively build on ongoing
cultural-political reflection) to set up a sophisticated webspace where
people can meet, exchange, follow the forum, browse, research, engage,
express, share... i mean, communicate!

The second thing i wanted to say is that the other role of the comcom could
be that of some form of outreach, or publicity: tell people, circulate the
news that there iss such a space and on an ongoing way make sure that access
to that platform is possible and improved where necessary. If this makes
sense, i wish i could say i can contribute to the actual techincal aspect of
"organising the virtual open space" but i possibly am not skilled enough (if
at all). But on the second aspet, that of outreach i could do something that
might not be completely useless.

Finally i will of course be as all the others here an enthusiastic
participant of the dynamics in that space and otherwise said a producer of
content and engagements...

ON THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS: i'm putting in contact mallory with one of the key
people of the FSF INdia who singlehandedly since the beginning of the Mumabi
process was taking care of the office system (later helped by more FSF
activistss). He is a developer of incrediibly sophisticated systems and who
knows? he might be interested in participating here.....

ciao
giuseppe
