Hi all

 

I was online yesterday, prepared for the meeting (9pm GMT, 4pm Belem), but did not find anyone. Today, I travel to Sao Paulo and London. I will try to connect between flights, and will certainly contribute by email if we do not connect. 

 

I will also respond to the key issue of 'dialogue between methodology and communication', what I described as the pedagogical process of the WSF in written reflections on the WSF 2009 which I have shared during a meeting several months ago.

Dear All, 


i could not make the meeting yesterday as i did not know the time and it is not clear to me when the meeting will be tomorrow. 


I wonder if there are minutes of the meeting of yesterday because i'm curious to see how the agenda came up. I wish to recall that in previous conversation on this list members had (to my impression) suggested that many were the things to discuss about along the plan. Including the need to:


FIRST discuss "1. the role of the Com Com (as political space of IC)". 


It is of course possible (indeed likely) that this need has been addressed in the meeting yesterday but i would appreciate that those who participated in the meeting yesterday shared their discussions and the conclusions. Also, who was at the meeting?

The agenda proposed is simply: revision of the Communication plan for 2010-2011.

The suggestion that came from an online meeting yesterday was to approach it in 2 parts:

moment 1 (one hour) -  assess how the presented draft plan cover concern 1:  stimulating/facilitating  communication processes "inside wsf" in 2010 context  (supporting event organising commitees and connection processes between activities in different events, as well as having in view an accumulative process of expression of alternatives to crisis culminating in Dakar) 

moment 2 ( one hour) - assess how the presented draft plan cover concern 2:  stimulating/facilitating  communication  "outside wsf" in 2010 context (i.e. worldwide and supporting event organizing commitees to mobilize for their event, which is inserted in a bigger "story")


Even if you cannot participate to the meeting, please send questions/suggestions mentionning the part of the plan they refer to, and give your opinion on  what should be added, or reinforced, or what is not a priority.
