Register a self-managed activity

The self-managed activity registration form is accessible only on the pages
of organizations. We highly recommend that you read the information below
before proceeding with registration.

*What is a self-managed activity?*

A self-managed activity is an activity registered in the programming of the
WSF by an organization or a group. The self-managed activities must respect
the Charter of Principles

World Social Forum. The WSF 2016 Collective reserves the right to refuse
any activity that does not respect the Charter of Principles. The
self-managed activities can take many forms: round table conference,
controversy table discussion, workshop, art performanc / cultural
activities, convergence meeting, etc.

*What is a convergence assembly?*

A convergence assembly is an activity that allows organizations working on
a theme or a common challenge to build alliances and work together to
propose a joint statement, actions or initiatives within the WSF.

*Are artistic performances considered self-managed activities?*

Yes, and therefore the artistic activities must be registered by filling
out the same form as any other type of activity. Please note that artistic
activities can also be agglutinated according to the process described
below with activities of another type.

*How many activities can an organization register?*

An organization can register a maximum of 3 self-organized activities.

*Until when will it be possible to register a self-managed activity?*

Until May 15th, 2016.

*Is there a cost to register self-managed activities for the WSF 2016?*

No, the registration of self-managed activities is free. An interpretation
fee may apply if you are interested in this service.

*Who can register a self-managed activity at the WSF 2016?*

Only an organization / group registered at the WSF

a self-managed activity. This is why the self-managed activity registration
form is accessible only on the pages of organizations.

*How to access the self-managed activity registration form?*

First go to the page of your organization. In the menu under the
description of your organization, click “Activities”, and then the “Add
New” button for the self-managed activity registration form to appear.

*Can we ask that our activities be programmed in a chronological order?*

Yes, but the order requested is not guaranteed. The programming working
group will do its best to respect it. Each activity must still be
registered independently. To indicate a chronological order, the title of
each activity must be followed by a reference format: “Part 1 of 3”.

*What does “organization responsible for a self-managed activity” mean?*

This refers to the organization that registers the activity. The field
“Responsible organization” in the self-managed activity registration form
will offer a drop-down list of organizations. This list will include only
the ones that the person completing the form administers.

*Can several organizations co-host the same activity?*

Yes, the registration form can identify other organizations that will
co-host the activity, but only the organization responsible for the
activity can edit or delete it.

*In what language(s) do the title and description of the activity need to
be written?*

Organizations must register their activity in the language or languages in
which the activity will be facilitated. For example, if an organization is
 considering to lead an activity in French, it can write its title and
description in French only. However, if it plans to conduct its activity in
several languages, it should write the title and description of the
activity in the various languages that will be used to present it, each
separated by a hyphen.

*Can organizations register activities that will take place outside of
Montreal?*

Yes, these activities fall within the scope of the extended programming
offered by the WSF 2016. Information on the extension process

*Can organizations register activities that will take place in Montreal but
outside the dates of the WSF?*

Yes, provided that these activities meet the conditions described above.

*Will registered activities appear immediately on the website?*

No. All listed activities must be approved by the Program Working Group
before being posted on the site. Note that when an activity is modified, it
disappears from the site and must be re-approved in order to reappear.
Therefore, if you want your activity to always be visible, avoid changes as
most as possible.

*Once a self-managed activity is registered, can it be modified or
cancelled?*

Yes, the activity may be modified or cancelled on the page of the
responsible organization by its administrator.

*What is the confirmation process?*

The confirmation is the final step in validating the content of the
self-organized activities. The confirmation period of self-managed
activities will end about a month prior to the WSF to allow time to build
the program. A check box to confirm the activity will be made available in
the activity’s editing page. Therefore, only the activities that have
previously been confirmed by their administrators will be scheduled. As
soon as an organization has confirmed its activity, it can not change or
delete it other than by calling the Programming Working Group.

*What is the agglutination process?*

It is a process that allows to “merge” similar activities. This process can
be initiated either by the organizations that have registered similar
activitie or suggested by the Programming Working Group. To initiate an
agglutination, the person responsible for an activity can communicate
directly with the person responsible for a similar event using the private
messaging system for participants available on the website. If there is an
agreement, one of the activities is kept and modified, and the other is
deleted.

*Can I agglunate my activity with an artist for the Forum?*

The World Social Creativity committee invites you to associate yourselves
with one or more artists who will work with you in artistically
interpreting the messages and issues at stake in your discussions
(exhibitions, musical presentations, theatrical or dance performances,
etc.). With them, you will have the possibility to share your message and
to discuss the development of their creative process.

Une activité autogérée est une activité inscrite à la programmation du FSM
par une organisation ou un collectif. Les activités autogérées doivent

social mondial. Le Collectif FSM 2016 se réserve le droit de refuser toute
activité qui ne respecte pas la Charte de principes. Les activités
autogérées peuvent prendre plusieurs formes : table ronde, conférence,
table de controverse, atelier de discussion, performances
artistiques/activités culturelles, assemblée de convergence.

*Qu’est-ce qu’une assemblée de convergence ?*

Une assemblée de convergence est une activité permettant à des
organisations qui travaillent sur un thème ou un enjeu commun de construire
des alliances et travailler collectivement en vue de proposer une
déclaration commune, des actions ou des initiatives dans le cadre du FSM.

*Les prestations artistiques sont-elles considérées comme des activités
autogérées ?*

Oui et par conséquent, les activités artistiques doivent être inscrites en
remplissant le même formulaire qu’un autre type d’activité. Il est à noter
que les activités artistiques peuvent également être agglutinées selon le
processus décrit ci-dessous, avec des activités d’un autre type.

*Combien d’activités une organisation peut-elle inscrire ?*

Une organisation peut inscrire un maximum de 3 activités autogérées.

*Jusqu’à quelle date est-il possible d’inscrire une activité autogérée ?*

Jusqu’au 15 mai 2016.

*Y a-t-il un coût pour inscrire des activités autogérées au FSM 2016 ?*

Non, l’inscription d’activités autogérées est gratuite. Des frais
d’interprétation peuvent cependant s’appliquer si vous souhaitez bénéficier
de ce service.

*Qui peut inscrire une activité autogérée au FSM 2016 ?*

Seule une organisation/collectif enregistrée au FSM

quand même être inscrite de façon indépendante. Pour indiquer un ordre
chronologique, le titre de chacune des activités doit être suivi d’une
mention de format « Partie 1 de 3 ».

*Que signifie la mention «organisation responsable d’une activité
autogérée» ?*

C’est l’organisation qui inscrit l’activité. Le champ « Organisation
responsable » dans le formulaire d’inscription d’activité autogérée offrira
une liste déroulante d’organisations qui n’inclura que les organisations
dont la personne est administratrice.

*Plusieurs organisations peuvent-elles co-animer une même activité ?*

Oui, le formulaire d’inscription permet d’identifier d’autres organisations
qui co-animeront l’activité mais seule l’organisation responsable de
l’activité pourra la modifier ou la supprimer.

*En quelle(s) langue(s) le titre et la description de l’activité
doivent-ils être écrits ?*

Les organisations doivent inscrire leur activité dans la ou les langues
dans lesquelles sera animée l’activité. Par exemple, si une organisation
prévoit une activité en français, elle peut écrire son titre et sa
description en français seulement. Toutefois, si elle prévoit présenter son
activité dans plusieurs langues, elle devra écrire le titre et la
description de l’activité dans les langues de présentation, chacune séparée
par un tiret.

*Les organisations peuvent-elles inscrire des activités qui ont lieu à
l’extérieur de Montréal ?*

Oui, ces activités entrent dans la programmation étendue du FSM 2016.

Montréal mais à l’extérieur des dates du FSM ?*

Oui, à la condition que ces activités répondent aux conditions décrites

*Les activités inscrites apparaitront-elles immédiatement sur le site ?*

Non. Toutes les activités inscrites devront être approuvées par le Groupe
de travail programmation avant d’être affichées sur le site. À noter que
lorsqu’une activité est modifiée, elle disparaît du site et doit être
ré-approuvée pour réapparaitre. Par conséquent, si vous voulez que votre
activité soit toujours visible, évitez le plus possible les modifications.

*Une fois qu’une activité autogérée est inscrite, peut-elle être modifiée
ou annulée ?*

Oui, l’activité pourra être modifiée ou annulée à partir de la page de
l’Organisation responsable par son administrateur.

*Qu’est-ce que le processus de confirmation ?*

La confirmation est la dernière étape de validation du contenu des
activités autogérées. La période de confirmation des activités autogérées
se terminera environ un mois avant la tenue du FSM pour laisser le temps de
construire la programmation. Une case à cocher pour confirmer l’activité
sera rendue disponible dans l’interface d’édition de l’activité. Ainsi,
seules les activités qui auront préalablement été confirmées par les
administrateurs seront programmées. À partir du moment où une organisation
aura confirmé son activité, elle ne pourra plus la modifier ni la supprimer
autrement qu’en communiquant avec le Groupe de travail programmation.

*Qu’est-ce que le processus d’agglutination ?*

C’est un processus qui permet de « fusionner » des activités similaires. Ce
processus peut être initié soit par les organisations qui ont inscrit les
activités concernées ou suggéré par le Groupe de travail programmation.

Pour initier une agglutination, le responsable d’une activité pourra
communiquer directement par le système de messagerie privé entre
participants disponible sur le site avec le responsable d’une autre
activité similaire. S’il y a entente, l’une des activités est conservée et
modifiée et l’autre est supprimée.

*Est-ce que mon activité peut être jumelée à un artiste pour l’occasion ?*

leur démarche de création.

El formulario de inscripción de las actividades autoadministradas sólo se
puede ver por las páginas de las organizaciones. Es altamente recomendable
leer las informaciones más abajo antes de hacer la inscripción.

*¿Qué es una actividad autogestionada?*

Una actividad autogestionada es una actividad inscrita en la programación
del FSM por parte de una organización o un colectivo. Las actividades
autogestionadas deben respetar la Carta de principios
<https://fsm2016.org/sinformer/a-propos-du-forum-social-mondial/> del Foro
Social Mundial. El Colectivo del FSM 2016 se reserva el derecho de rechazar
toda actividad que no respete la Carta de principios. Las actividades
autorizadas pueden tomar varias formas: mesa redonda, conferencia, mesa de
controversia, taller de discusión, actividades artísticas y culturales,
asamblea de convergencia.

*¿Qué es una Asamblea de convergencia?*

Una Asamblea de convergencia es una actividad que permite a organizaciones
que trabajan en un mismo tema o en una apuesta común, construir alianzas y
trabajar colectivamente con el objetivo de elaborar una declaración, o
emprender acciones o iniciativas conjuntas en el marco del FSM.

*¿Son las presentaciones artísticas consideradas como actividades
autogestionadas?*

Sí y, en consecuencia, las actividades artísticas deben ser inscritas,
diligenciando para ello el mismo formulario que cualquier otro tipo de
actividad. Es de anotar que las actividades artísticas pueden igualmente
aglutinarse según los procesos descritos más abajo, con actividades de otro
tipo.

*¿Cuántas actividades pueden inscribir una misma organización?*

Una organización puede inscribir un máximo de tres actividades
autogestionadas.

*¿Hasta qué fecha es posible inscribir una actividad autogestionada?*

Hasta el 15 mayo 2016.

*¿Tiene algún costo inscribir actividades autogestionadas en el FSM 2016?*

No, la inscripción de las actividades autogestionadas es gratuita. Sin
embargo, pueden aplicarse costos de interpretación si se desea obtener este
servicio.

*¿Qué significa la mención “organización responsable de una actividad
autogestionada”?*

Se trata de la organización que inscribe la actividad. La casilla
“Organización responsable” del formulario de inscripción de la actividad
autogestionadas presentará una lista desplegable de organizaciones que tan
sólo incluirá aquellas organizaciones cuya persona es la administradora.

*¿Es posible que varias organizaciones co-dirijan una misma actividad?*

Si, el formulario de inscripción permite identificar otras organizaciones
que co-dirigen la actividad, pero tan sólo la organización responsable de
la actividad podrá modificarla o suprimirla.

*¿En qué idioma(s) debe(n) estar escrito(s) el título y la descripción de
la actividad?*

Las organizaciones deben inscribir su actividad en aquél o aquellos idiomas
en los cuales la actividad será dirigida. Por ejemplo, si una organización
prevé realizar una actividad en francés, ésta podrá escribir su título y
descripción tan sólo en francés. Sin embargo, si la organización prevé
presentar su actividad en varios idiomas, deberá escribir el título y la
descripción de su actividad en aquellos idiomas de presentación, cada uno
de ellos separado por un guión.

*¿Pueden las organizaciones inscribir actividades que serán realizadas al
exterior de Montreal?*

Sí, estas actividades estarán en la programación ampliada del FSM 2016.

Montreal, pero fuera de las fechas del FSM?*

Sí, pero a condición que estas actividades respondan a las condiciones
descritas anteriormente

*¿Aparecerán inmediatamente las actividades inscritas en el sitio web?*

No. Todas las actividades inscritas deberán ser aprobadas previamente por
el Grupo de trabajo de la programación antes de que éstas aparezcan en el
sitio web. Nótese que, cuando una actividad es modificada, ésta
desaparecerá del sitio y deberá ser aprobada nuevamente para que
reaparezca. En consecuencia, si desea que su actividad siempre se encuentre
visible, evite en lo posible las modificaciones.

*¿Una vez inscrita una actividad autogestionada, puede ésta ser modificada
o anulada?*

Si, la actividad podrá ser modificada o anulada por su administrador en la
página de la organización responsable.

*¿Cuál es el proceso de confirmación?*

La confirmación es la última etapa de validación del contenido de las
actividades autogestionadas. El período de confirmación de las actividades
autogestionadas se terminará aproximadamente un mes antes de la realización
del FSM, con el fin de permitir el tiempo necesario para la elaboración de
la programación. Con el fin de confirmar la actividad, se habilitará una
casilla de confirmación en la interfase de edición de la actividad. De esta
manera, tan sólo serán programadas aquellas actividades que habrán sido
previamente confirmadas por los administradores. Desde el momento en que
una organización confirme su actividad, ésta podrá modificarla o suprimirla
tan sólo comunicándose con el Grupo de trabajo de programación.

*¿Qué es el proceso de aglutinación?*

Se trata de un proceso que permite “fusionar” aquellas actividades
similares. Este proceso podrá ser iniciado ya sea por las organizaciones
que inscriben las actividades, o podrá ser sugerido por el Grupo de trabajo
de programación. Para iniciar una aglutinación, el responsable de una
actividad podrá comunicarse directamente con el responsable de otra
actividad similar por medio del sistema de mensajería privado, disponible
en el sitio web. En caso de llegar a un acuerdo, una de las actividades
podrá ser conservada y modificada, mientras que la otra será suprimida.
