Dear Thomas and NIDG:ers,
Slowly and surely the views from older and younger voices are enriching our
debate, concerning our role at the next meeting to renew the IC-WSF and
reactivate the WSF process. Some topic that should be added to the previous
suggestions are:
1) A serious way to address ("read" in Freirean terms) the world
political-economic context (more than 2 minutos per person in the waiting
line!!!).
2) An renew effort to incorporate representatives from indigenous peoples
in the IC-WSF.
3) More support to the Communication Commission to develop an effective
strategy of alternative media to counteract the impact of the hate media.
Once again we need to confront Gramsci's struggle for the minds of people,
when the ugly faces of white national-populism and neo-Nazism are on the
rise.
